Quality Control at Bidso

The following article aims to demonstrate how Bidso makes sure that every shipment satisfies exacting quality requirements.

To execute a great Quality Control System, Bidso leverages the following:

Product and Manufacturing Understanding: An in-depth understanding of the product and its manufacturing process helps us identify the different aspects that need to be tracked & monitored to ensure quality.
In House QC Testing Team: Bidso has a team of QC experts that conduct QC testing both during production and before dispatch. The number of samples that need to be tested, and tests that need to be done have already been identified and standardized.
Technology: This is perhaps the most important factor in our QC process. To ensure scalability and transparency, all QC testing is done by our team using a mobile app. Our buyers can access all QC test reports, with Photos and videos of all the tested samples on the Buyer Dashboard.

A typical QC test at Bidso involves 3 different steps:

Step 1: Identifying QC Parameters:

  • What are the different tests that need to be done ?
  • What constitutes a pass or a fail ?
  • What is the ideal QC test sample size ?

Answers to these and other questions help us arrive at a comprehensive QC testing framework for every product that we manufacture.

This is a 1-time process, and the QC tests for every product at Bidso is pre-defined in Bidso’s QC module.

While Bidso follows industry leading QC testing, for our more discerning buyers, the QC testing process is completely customizable!

We test every product on the following 3 areas:

  • APPEARANCE
  • PERFORMANCE
  • PACKAGING

For example, QC for our Kick Scooters has a total of 22 tests across appearance, performance, and packaging.

To create relevant and comprehensive QC Test, understanding the product and the manufacturing Process is critical !

Step 2: QC Testing:
At Bidso, we do testing at 2 stages: Once during manufacturing, and once before dispatch.

Our QC testing team uses their dedicated mobile application to conduct all QC testing.

The app displays all the tests that need to be conducted, with detailed descriptions. The results of each QC test are uploaded then & there, along with videos and photos for the buyer’s reference.

Step 3: Final QC Report:
As soon as the QC testing is completed, our buyers can see the final QC report, along with photos and videos on their dashboard. The report is also emailed to all relevant stakeholders.
